Coiling away, adding to knotted center
Just introduced pine needles in top course, transitioning from knotting with waxed linen and poly to coiling.
Front, sides, and back of current piece in progress. Started a couple of months ago. Approximately. 9 inches tall. Knotting and coiling. Waxed linen, waxed poly, c-lon cord, and dyed pine needles. No beading. No pigment added to the surface of the pi

Current work in progress. Experimenting with a spiral knotted start, transitioning to wrapped and stitched dyed pine needles, beginning to flair up and out from the knotting. New progress pics
Quick pics of new piece, ,"Shipwreck," 20 x 14 x 7. Coiled natural and paint dipped southern long-leaf pine needles, with additional knotted forms, using waxed linen and poly cord.
